Working exclusively with Migrant communities we have earned an
impressive reputation with both service users and service providers
for successful collaboration, coordination, development, and delivery
on a range of advocacy services, educational programmes, cultural
events, human rights, and anti-racism awareness initiatives. Annual
cultural events include our Global Women?s Conference, Africa Day,
participation in St. Patrick?s Day, the Imagine Festival and other
community-based events. When it comes to cultural understanding and
integration, we know our communities need a spectacular, lively,
creative, and motivated individual who can manage a short-term
programme of anti-racism events across the month of March **Apply on

DESCRIPTION
Creative and motivated events manager required for a multi-faceted
role, Fixed Term Contract (3 months).
Working on behalf of Waterford Migrant Integration Strategy Committee
we are preparing for a month-long series of events to raise awareness
about global anti-racism issues in March **Apply on the website**. The
events manager will be responsible for overseeing the creative
planning, administration, and management of key events with a range of
groups and schools in Waterford City & County. The work will begin in
January with planning sessions with the relevant participant groups
and contacts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
* Excellent Community members/participant groups communications
* Establishing a planning committee that represents service
providers and service users
* Act as community contact, venue and supplier liaison, managing
meetings, contracts and invoicing etc.
* Develop events running schedule
* Coordinate guest speakers, participants, other contributors
* Act as on-site event lead as required, assisting with set-up,
registration of attendance, and take-down as required
* Coordinate design and production of all print/promotional
materials required for timetable of events
* Managing invitations and guest lists for each event as appropriate
* Admin: diary planning, data entry etc.
* Responsibility for Social media campaigns
* Own transport and appropriate insurance indemnity required
* Flexibility with work schedule (weekend and evenings) as required.
The ideal candidate will be an events professional with a proven track
record of managing groups, community leaders and relevant
organisations. They must demonstrate exceptional organisational skills
with a high level of IT proficiency and excellent communication
skills, written and verbal. Will have a genuine community-oriented
approach to all aspects of this work.
